You play as a detective who has been drifting through cases for the past two years following the loss of your partner. What begins as a straightforward investigation into a series of brutal murders on a college campus quickly evolves into something far more sinister and complex. One night you wake to find a demon's mark burned into your neck, and your relationship with the ghost inhabiting your apartment takes on new and troubling dimensions. You discover she may be far more powerful and manipulative than she initially appeared. The game forces you to balance two parallel challenges: solving present-day murders while simultaneously dealing with supernatural forces and events from a forgotten past. As you progress, you encounter numerous characters, each harboring secrets and hidden agendas.
