Furry Chronicles: The Beginning

Furry Chronicles: The Beginning mixes visual novel storytelling with role-playing mechanics. The player is the only human in a magical world populated by anthropomorphic animal people, and the journey begins with a fox and a cow as the first companions. Over time you recruit more furries, each with a distinct skill set that determines the role they fill in your party, and you bond with them to unlock new abilities.

Progression works on two levels. Companions gain power through experience, and their size grows alongside that power. Each furry can follow one of four growth paths, namely Breast Expansion, Weight Gain, Muscle Growth, or Futa, and each path brings its own stat changes and unique skills. Weapons and armor add further stat modifiers and abilities, giving three separate avenues of customization for every companion.

Beyond combat, the game includes non-combat skills such as fishing, cooking, construction, and blacksmithing. Cooking recipes can be modified with booster items, and decorations for your home provide small bonuses that strengthen as you build more of them. The world starts in the ancient forests of Lupamara and moves on to the nomadic city of Phanelyn, with more biomes planned.

The story follows the origins of the world of Chronicle and the personal histories of your companions, and it explores why the player character has arrived there. The developer's listed future plans include a larger storyline involving a world-conquering force, more combat content, side quests, boss battles, and additional zones with new recruitable furries.
