Kurage: Love in the Deathless City (Alpha Demo)

Kurage is an adult-oriented horror mystery visual novel blending eroguro elements with cyberpunk noir aesthetics. The narrative follows Keith, a man still grieving his childhood sweetheart Tsubasa who died five years prior, and Kurage, an android replica of Tsubasa created by a corporation seeking to exploit his celebrity status. When the two meet by chance, they begin questioning the official narrative of Tsubasa's death and discover evidence pointing toward murder rather than suicide. As their investigation deepens, shocking truths emerge: Keith harbors hidden memories of being an immortal cyborg with regenerative capabilities, suggesting involvement in a much larger and more sinister conspiracy.

The game emphasizes narrative exploration and choice-driven storytelling within a dark, morally complex world. Players uncover the mystery through dialogue, investigation sequences, and relationship development between the protagonists. The current alpha demo includes approximately 24,000 words representing the first chapter, with around one hour of playtime. Visual assets include roughly 25 backgrounds (a blend of hand-drawn and stock imagery) and approximately 20 CGs in various stages of completion. The developers have committed to a hand-drawn art approach and explicitly reject generative AI use for the final release.
