Summer In Springtime is a short story-driven visual novel where you assume the role of Ichigo, a third-year college student pursuing a career in sports therapy. The game follows Ichigo as he navigates a complicated romantic landscape after his childhood friend unexpectedly returns to his life, complicating his existing relationship with his girlfriend and his connection to a former teacher. The experience features multiple branching paths that lead to more than a dozen different endings, allowing players to explore various narrative outcomes based on their choices throughout the game. The game includes 28 special scenes across different art styles, with original character artwork alongside legacy art options. Players can customize their experience through a menu system with fullscreen and window mode options, as well as volume controls. The developers note that while the initial release is a short experience, ongoing development allows for potential story expansion and additional content beyond version 1.0.
