Discumbobulate Chapter 1 follows a protagonist who gains superhuman speed and strength through a mysterious mutation following a life-altering accident. Struggling financially while caring for his disabled step-sister, he becomes embroiled in a complex web of urban crime, corporate intrigue, and clandestine experiments. The narrative weaves together mystery, comedy, and emotional storytelling as he investigates the enigmatic Meridian Corporation, only to discover that forces have been orchestrating events from the shadows for far longer than he realizes.

The game combines visual novel storytelling with turn-based action sequences, featuring multiple character routes and relationship paths. The first chapter contains over 700 rendered scenes and approximately one hour of content, with an original soundtrack composed specifically for the game.
