NonPlatonic Forms follows Liam Lee, a freelance mechanic living a quiet, solitary existence. His mundane life is abruptly disrupted when he encounters a strange being called Diegesis, who claims to be the embodiment of storytelling itself. This entity asserts an inexplicable need for complete control over Liam, warning of dire consequences if denied. As Liam navigates this unsettling situation, figures from his past begin to manifest in bizarre and unrecognizable forms. The boundary between reality and fantasy progressively deteriorates, forcing Liam to adapt to a world fundamentally different from the one he knew. The game explores the tension between control, identity, and the artistic process, weaving narrative choices with the protagonist's struggle for survival in an increasingly surreal environment.
