About
Once Ever After reimagines classic fairy tale narratives as part of an interconnected multiverse of stories beginning to destabilize. Players take on the role of Ingrid, a young protagonist stepping into the role of Little Red Riding Hood, only to discover that the boundaries between different tale-worlds are breaking down. As various fairy tale worlds collide and war emerges across these realities, Ingrid must navigate both the mysteries of her environment and strategic challenges using the tools at her disposal.
The gameplay features a traditional turn-based RPG system with visible enemies on the map rather than random encounters. Character progression offers substantial customization through multiple available classes and interconnected skill trees that can be freely mixed and matched to suit different playstyles. The game provides two difficulty modes: a challenge-focused option emphasizing strategic decision-making over grinding, and a more relaxed mode prioritizing narrative enjoyment.
The experience spans across multiple reimagined fairy tale settings with a substantial visual presentation of 25+ base scenes totaling over 200 images, supplemented by 30+ chibi-style illustrations for lighter plot moments. Additional quality-of-life features include autosave functionality, a comprehensive quest log for tracking objectives, and optional post-game challenges that unlock an alternate ending.
