Through the Glass is a brief, atmospheric interactive narrative that examines themes of identity, routine, and the lingering sense that an alternative life exists just beyond reach. The player inhabits someone living an ordinary everyday existence when a peculiar corporate experiment intersects with their path. A single pivotal choice about whether to sign an NDA and join the experiment potentially opens a door to something remarkable, though the outcome remains ambiguous. The game prioritizes atmosphere, visual imagery, and introspective moments rather than extensive branching narratives. It functions as a modest narrative experiment questioning the life we actually lead, the choices we overlook, and the alternate versions of ourselves that might exist in unexplored directions. The experience unfolds in a deliberately linear fashion with select narrative decision points that subtly shift how the story develops. Created using Twine as a personal passion project, the game employs AI-generated imagery for visual illustration while all writing, dialogue, story design, and game mechanics were developed independently.
