Kindred Spirits on the Roof

Kindred Spirits on the Roof is a visual novel set at Kokonotsuboshi Girls' Academy, a school built on the grounds of an old castle. The protagonist, Toomi Yuna, is a solitary student until she encounters two ghosts during lunch on the school roof: Enoki Sachi and Nagatani Megumi, who died decades apart but have found love with each other in the afterlife. These spirits have an unfulfilled wish and ask Yuna to help them understand romance by playing matchmaker to student couples experiencing hidden feelings for one another. As Yuna facilitates these romantic connections throughout the academy, she becomes invested in fostering what the spirits call a "yuritopia"—a world filled with blossoming yuri relationships. The game explores themes of unrequited love, acceptance, and connection as Yuna navigates the emotions of six unique couples while discovering whether she herself might be moved by the promise of such a world.
