Maitetsu

Maitetsu follows Sotetsu as he returns to his declining hometown of Ohitoyo to address a controversial factory proposal. While the town faces economic hardship and residents are divided over whether industrial development is the answer, Sotetsu discovers an alternative path: restoring the local railway system. His quest takes a transformative turn when he encounters Hachiroku, an android-like being known as a Raillord—a humanoid module designed to control and manage railway cars. Despite Hachiroku's inanimate nature, the two form an unexpected bond and partnership. Together, they work to revitalize Ohitoyo's railway infrastructure and rebuild the town's economic independence. The game emphasizes character relationships and story progression through fully voiced Japanese dialogue, animated sprites, and detailed event sequences. Players can explore branching narrative paths and revisit favorite scenes through scene selection, while supplementary railway information adds educational depth to the narrative experience.
